Nurturing Ministries

Nurturing Persons to be Disciples of Jesus Christ, is the goal of our Christian Education ministry. To help us achieve this, we provide the following programs.

Our all-ages Church School takes place each Sunday morning. An afternoon Sunday School is also held for the children attending our Spanish Worship Service. The Adult and Couples classes utilize Cokesbury produced curriculum, supplemented by other resources and enriched by occasions for reflection on national and global concerns.

The curriculum for our Kindergarten and Junior Classes is bible based, contextually relevant, and loaded with creative activities. Bilingual material is used in the afternoon Sunday School. We anticipate having combined Church School classes by the start of Fall.

Our recently constructed Christian Education wing is a hub of activity not only on Sundays, but on Tuesday and Thursday evenings when all-age bilingual Bible study classes are held. Morning Bible study classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in English and Spanish, respectively. Special seasonal studies are done in Advent and Lent.

A visit to our Church Library and Resource Center will provide you with information (books, articles, tapes and film) on a wide range of subjects in the fields of Bible, church history, Christian education, Leadership and ministry, among others.

New classes based on the Discipleship series will begin in the Fall, as well as Preparation classes for new members. In addition, weekend non-residential seminars on ministry to Marriage and Family will start in late Fall. Counseling is available by appointment.
